When a person acquires registered shares in a company limited by shares and these reach 25% of the company's share capital or voting rights, the law requires the acquirer to notify the company of the acquisition, together with the surname(s), first name(s) and address(es) of the beneficial owners of the shares. An notification is mandatory not only if the acquisition involves a quantity of shares reaching the 25% threshold, but also if it involves a smaller quantity, but these shares, added to those already owned by the acquirer, reach the 25% threshold.
